Biri-Ken and Gari-Ken, dog-like creatures who can fly and speak both human and dog languages, come to live with the Amamori family in the human world. The story follows their funny and unusual adventures, featuring neighborhood dogs and characters like Dr. Torino, who's trying to build a man-powered airplane.

In Biri-Ken's Anything Shop, Tatsuo’s classmates and their dogs show up less often, as the focus shifts to Biri-Ken, Gari-Ken, and Todo-Ken starting a business to become independent from the Amamori family. They take on all sorts of odd jobs, but their plans are always messed up by Don-Nyan and Torara from the Nyan tribe, who run a rival general store. This leads to a lot of hilarious chaos.
